Pros

Nice benefit package, including a pension plan and employee health clinic. Regular raises and even through the economic decline there were no layoffs.

Kontras

Understaffed and patient to nurse ratios always exceed goals. Poor scheduling by a system with no manager involvement. Goals of organization and bottom line dollars always take precedence over employee concerns, needs, or health.

Pros

Of all the companies I have worked for Novant has been the best experience. I moved back into leadership after years of having stepped back from leadership due to burnout and frustration. Novant invests more than any company I have seen in both frontline and leader development, with cohesive messaging about priorities. I truly enjoy the teams I work with.

Kontras

IT was moved to overseas a few years back. They back-pedaled on this and moved some aspects back to domestic coverage, but overall, I can't see where this improves operational efficiency despite surface level savings.
