If you don't have a masters or P.H.D. (and in some cases even if you do) the very rare, longterm career opportunities tend to pay salaries that are below average for the required degree. If you only have a B.S. see this job as a paid internship (if you see it that way this is actually not a con). Though senior management is very friendly and easy going they are rarely straight forward. It is uncomfortable discuss performance reviews and compensation.
