Pros
The white company has, by far, the best bikes with the best maintenance, consistently for the last 3 years. The rental fees are pretty middle-of-the-road but they are also generally more willing to lower the rents based on your individual performance or just based on how everyone on shift did that day/night. They are a little more careful in their hiring than the other two companies, so you end up with a pretty solid, reliable crew of people that value reliability and integrity. You end up socializing with all other riders from the other companies equally, but when you need a shift covered or help, this is where that counts.
Kontras
It's not the fault of the specific company, because they're all really greedy when it comes to rental rates, but I'll say it anyway. THE RENTS ARE WAY TOO HIGH. It's a ton of pressure to know you're committing to paying $140 on a regular, crappy, summer weekend shift. That's SHIFT. As in 8 or 9 hours. White company will fire you in a heartbeat for overcharging, but if you do the math, it's basically impossibly to run that many miles in that amount of time and triple the rental rate. You either have to overcharge or fork over all your tips, which of course you get mostly by chance. In white company, you don't get open access to the shop, which is my biggest complaint. If your battery dies or you have some issue like forgetting a pump or need a wrench to adjust whatever, you have to rely on whoever the manager is to let you in. And 9/10 times, especially on the weekend, you're screwed because they're too busy making money to help you out and you'll be told to just deal with it. Best case scenario, you end up wasting a ton of your paid time waiting on them to come in and help you. I could go on about other nitpicky issues, but this was a big one for me.
