Pros
- Interesting and technically ambitious project briefs. - Good exposure to hardware/software ecosystems. - Talented people at peer level.
Kontras
- Leadership is autocratic. One person at the top makes all decisions and mid-level management functions mainly to enforce them. - The director-to-employee ratio is baffling... more directors than actual designers. - Fully on-site 5 days a week with no flexibility. Perks that were once part of the culture (small things, but telling) quietly disappeared. - A significant portion of time goes toward internal PowerPoint work with no clear purpose rather than actual design. - Direction shifts frequently, projects get overridden without explanation, and there's little real ownership below the top. - Growth and mentorship are minimal. Prepared to be stuck at junior level for 5 years and be laid off. - The recent redundancy round was poorly handled. Seniors were cut and work had to be absorbed by juniors at lower pay, minimal process or support.
