Pros

- Benefits are decent ($600/qtr coworking, $100/mo internet, $100/mo food). Healthcare is alright, but was better when we had Aetna. - HR is a bit better than it used to be, but still not great. Try hiring kind people for such a delicate job - Colleagues are so smart and kind, provided they are mid-tier managers and below - We still have a GREAT product! Best in the industry, hands down. It's so easy to sell prospects and retain customers, provided budget cuts aren't an issue - We have a lovely crew of POC, LGBT+, and neurodiverse folks who support each other - Long-term vets are all on the same page for the most part and also support each other -- we all miss the old days but stay for each other and our prospects/customers

Kontras

- The number of women and people of color that I've seen actively leave or get pushed out of executive leadership over the past several years is alarming - Greg continues to meddle in every process (including the hiring of junior employees??) and provide very little value. He doesn't even speak in all-hands meetings anymore - Compensation has always and continues to be the bottom of the barrel for new york based employees - Engagement surveys are meaningless - CFO/COO has way too much power and continues to undervalue comp plans while raising goals - Company claims that improving churn is their main goal yet...claims to have zero time to do any genuine exec sponsorship until the rep is literally begging and drowning in a possible cancellation. By that point, it's usually already too late to save. - Risk meetings get canceled nearly every week so there isn't even an opportunity to chat through churn risks as a full team - The CS director (who is currently on mat leave, thank god) is toxic to the people around her and everyone has felt calmer in the last two months that she's been gone than they have in a full year. I'm not even on her team and know this to be true I could go on but I'll leave it at this.

Pros

Muck Rack has been, hands down, the best company I have worked for in years. The Engineering org is great - filled with smart, helpful people that are friendly and a pleasure to work with.

Kontras

Health insurance isn't particularly amazing. Promotion requirements seem a bit weird, but I don't care much for titles anyways.

Pros

1. Product is genuinely the best of it's competitors. 2. Great coworkers outside of GTM (editorial, product, engineering, talent, legal, IT) all collaborative and kind. 3. Perks are strong: stipends, travel, nice hotels, events, (insurance isn’t the best) - Company-wide culture emphasizes flexibility and remote-first support.

Kontras

1. Turnover has spiked in 2025, Even long-tenured employees who consistently delivered, as if leadership turned on the very people who had contributed years of success. 2. Leadership often expected high performers to share how we managed to hit quota despite the adversity, while ignoring the valuable feedback we gave on how to make success more scalable for everyone. This disconnect led many of us to leave, even when we were otherwise on good terms. If you join the sales team, document your own successes carefully. When you move on to better opportunities, leadership may be resentful and refuse to give you credit, even if you performed well.
