We understand that, but no need to bash your employees in front of others. Also, you should try to give some of your new hires enough time to settle down before giving them tasks that are equivalent to senior engineers. You've also got to realize people make mistakes, and you should forgive them as long as they are willing to learn from their mistakes and improve, not just giving them a hard time and an intimidating private talk.
