Pros
I can't say enough good things about MongoDB. I'm proud to work at the company, find the work technically challenging/ interesting, and am surrounded by smart people who work together to build great products. There is a real sense of teamwork and collaboration as we work together to build our products. It is an inclusive workplace and we try to make everyone feel welcome regardless of background. I feel supported in my career development and such conversations take place openly. There is an honest desire to see people happy and fulfilled in their roles. Opportunities are made within the company rather than potentially losing good people.
Kontras
The company has matured and is no longer a free-wheeling startup. Apparently simple changes can require coordination between multiple teams. We also have a large user base that is using our products for mission-critical applications. This means being more careful and methodical about backward-breaking changes.
