Pros

Loved helping people. Loved the majority of people I worked with. Free parking and close to home.

Kontras

Very political. Office environment always felt tense. You do not feel as if you are working at a lawfirm but more at a sweatshop with impossible quotas and very little pay. They only give you a raise of .25 cents per year. There is a reason why there is constant turnover.

Pros

Great environment filled with supportive and kind people. The firm cares about employee engagement and makes it a priority to have events frequently. Everyone seems to really enjoy their time there. Flexible with schedule.

Kontras

- [ ] Pay is not on par with what is necessary to live comfortably in MN which adds extra stress when you are constantly dealing with clients who require a lot of attention. I had to work a 2nd job in order to not feel stressed about bills, student loan payments, etc., which ultimately caused a level of burnout. Training could be better, they were open to hiring with no prior experience which is a positive but I was given far too many responsibilities and too much independence early on which is stressful going in with no experience. Was told I could ask questions at any point if I needed help which is nice, however, the lack of thorough training made it difficult to know what questions I should’ve been asking. Everyone is super supportive but it’s hard to know how to manage everything in the way they want you to without that expectation being set upfront. Lack of thorough training also impacted the ability to understand the logistics of the firm and found myself not meeting expectations that I didn’t know existed because I often felt like I was navigating the waters by myself. I was let go despite receiving every performance based bonus I was eligible for and never being put on a PIP which was confusing and disappointing. Also felt like I was being micromanaged at points by other staff, despite me having had addressed certain issues directly with clients, I believe the staff reported it to my boss without confirming with me it already had been addressed even though I independently had the situation under control.
