Pros
It provided a wealth of opportunity and flexible work environment. Local management cared about its employees and their life outside of work, and the technical staff while I was there was first-rate. Management also listened to the ideas of its employees, and paid to help them further their careers.
Kontras
It is a tough economy for the smaller size VAR in a smaller market like Des Moines. As such, the exposure to the higher end accounts was not there, and the ability to get experience with higher end networking issues was few and far between. As a result, maintaining consistency of service was difficult.
