Really wonderful small, non-profit, mission driven organization focused on improving healthcare in Wisconsin. Tremendous respect for senior leadership - caring, compassionate, smart. Process driven, systems thinkers. Opportunities to learn and grow professionally while connecting with a variety of healthcare and stakeholder organizations in Wisconsin.
Kontras
Although there are several smaller for-profit business lines, the majority of the work is funded by federal and state contracts so we are at the mercy of those funding cycles. Over its 40+ years, staffing has had to occasionally contract, but it often bounces back. Also being small, it is fairly flat with several VPs and a handful of managers so not a lot of space for professional advancement in terms of available leadership positions. Still, few cons overall in my experience.
