Pros

Flexibility to drive your own projects, there is a chance to meet a lot of different people with different skillsets and build a global network.

Kontras

No real career path or structure when joining which means you can be stuck in the same role for years. Promotions usually get given to management favourites which can lead to really toxic environments within teams. Technology is extremely outdated, years behind our competitors. There’s a lack of a clear company strategy which results in too many teams being busy doing work with little value.

-Trustworthy immediate colleagues -Good work/life balance and flexibility

-Little career pathing within company. Organization is extremely siloed, and cheap as they simply aren't interested in paying for small things to advance one's career like local industry conferences and events such as team holiday dinners that would have minimal impact on the company's bottom line. -Pay not aligned with skills or talent marketplace -One would think a benefits/career consultant would have decent pay and benefits. This is not the case
