Pros
The job itself was pretty simple/fun. Direct co-workers were usually good. Customers were generally pretty pleasant to deal with.
Kontras
Upper-level management at my store (Hollister, MO) was pretty terrible. The overused phrase "toxic work environment" certainly applied. One Asst. GM was great, but he left not long after I started working. Other than him, I had a universally poor experience. I was once reprimanded for "not working" as I was standing still--while training a new hire how to assemble carts. Carry-outs would often get called on to register and then be reprimanded for not pulling carts in....at the same time?? It was bizarre, really. Customers could often be difficult-upset over perceived injustices. Price issues...etc. Many would also ask you to load items into a car that could simply not hold them. Other times, they would have to completely reorganize their vehicle before stuff was loaded and the carry-out would have to help. This could be a bit annoying. Many customers were awesome though, it just depended on the person obviously.
