Some talented and hardworking colleagues. Occasionally interesting projects and tech stack.

Kontras

Promotions are based more on favoritism and internal cliques than merit or performance. Raises and bonuses were virtually non-existent, even after years of service. Company constantly changed health plans, vacation policies, and remote work guidelines with little notice or transparency. Widespread layoffs without proper communication — many teams blindsided. The company has been quietly outsourcing work to India, adding more job insecurity for U.S.-based staff. Leadership is disconnected from the day-to-day realities employees face and shows little regard for staff well-being.

Top leadership and HR are absolutely next-level soulless. Every Town Hall meeting we have is almost comically demoralizing, and everyone basically gets told they are trash and barely deserve a job. They do not care at all about their people. Cannot emphasize enough how gross they are. Turnover is a HUGE problem because of their policies, which has a detrimental impact on the people left behind and the clients they serve.
