Opportunity to learn what rigour is. The academic, methodological and professional rigour which goes into the projects is exemplary.

The pros mentioned above come at the cost of a lot of cons. The company is not equipped to handle so much rigour. The CEO has zero respect for employees personal time and life. The CEO has zero respect for the skills employee has been hired for. The JD/KRAs is just a formality. Even after 10 years of formation of the company, there was no formally accepted leave policy. The biggest of all, the company is not honest and transparent to its employees. Never paid my two years performance bonus. When reminded about it, the CEO pretended as if every employee must have assumed that there will be no bonus because of business loss due to pandemic, when in fact the CEO himself wrote a mail to all employees stating a 20% salary cut (calculated on CTC which includes bonus). So, ideally employee must be eligible for up to 80% bonus. Upon conveying this to the CEO, a 25% bonus was offered as pittance. I did an objective self assessment of my performance (rating myself honestly) and requesting for bonus as per that rating. After a couple of mails and one meeting, the CEO and my team lead stopped responding to my mails.
