Great culture & personalities at the firm. Many of the top executives started at the bottom of the food chain and stuck with the firm for 20+ years when many clearly could have gone off on their own, indicating a strong culture of recognition and reward of talent & promotion within. Co-workers are easy-going but smart & know what they're talking about. Great place to learn real estate fundamentals. Vertical integration guarantees that whenever you have a 'stupid' question about the industry, there'll be somebody at the company that can and will be happy to answer it and won't make you feel retarded. Generally runs a light shop, so you'll get as much responsibility as you can handle.

Though they know the asset class better than others, Lowe is a developer at heart, so not as much deal flow & complex structuring experience as a pure investment shop [Canyon, Oaktree, etc]. As a consequence for working for a developer w/ smaller fund sizes, compensation is a little lower than similar jobs at investment shops.
