As we grow and become a growth stage company, change is going to be a constant. And we can't continue to hold onto what used to be—you're right.
One on ones with your supervisor should be your primary forum to voice your concerns and ask questions to help get you the support you deserve and need. But I'll also use this as an opportunity to make sure skip level 1-1s are happening in your organization.
If we are all able to presume positive intent, and we acknowledge that communication is hard, then it's more likely that your concerns aren't making their way to me than it is that they're being dismissed.
And ultimately, if you're not having your needs met by your supervisor and/or you feel like concerns are falling on deaf ears, please feel free to reach out to me directly—you have access to my phone number, and you can reach me any time day or night via Slack or email, and I promise to respond.
