Pros

The job was a great way to gain administrative experience, customer service experience, and some accounting experience. It was a very social job as there were always lots of employees and members around, so it was fun.

Kontras

Obviously it's a huge corporation, so there is very little flexibility as far as regulations and hourly rates go. The management at the location I worked at was not very good, but I can only speak for that location.

Pros

Members are great and free membership is a perk. Coworkers are supportive.

Kontras

You will be micromanaged to death, whether you have three weeks of experience or 20 years. Policies are vague. Communication with leadership is poor. You can be a strong, experienced performer and have very few classes, or brand new and get 8 a week. There appears to be no logic or strategy to anything that happens.
