Your experience, education, and passion doesn't matter. If you can sell, that's all they care about.

All they care about is sales. Doesn't matter if it isn't practical for the customer/ patient. They'll sell a progressive lens to someone with severe dermatochalasis just because a progressive is more expensive. They'll sell a Transitions lens to a trucker (transitions don't work in vehicles because windshields have UV protection) Unethical sales tactics. Insane turnover rate for both management and sales. And the optometrists don't refer to an ophthalmologist as much as they should. It's disgusting.

Very tight window for expected time on certain in-house jobs. Lab no longer at the Monterey location. Steep learning curve.
