      Pros

      The local agency level employees are wonderful to work with. Local management is good. The biggest perk is the patients most of the time.

      Kontras

      Productivity points are a joke! In a rural area with lots of drive time in between they are impossible to meet. One visit should equal 1 point, not 3/4 of one. Salary is not competitive to the area. Marketing staff gets bonuses while local field staff get nothing! Most staff feel overwhelmed as there is never enough help. Staff also don't voice their opinions as they feel they are one step away from losing their jobs.

      Autonomy, days go by quick, expectations are defined.

      Unmanageable workload/cases. Expected to fulfill number of points per week. Charting beyond business hours every day. Start of care visits also included hands on care. One visit took 3 hours because of 8 wounds and that didn’t include documentation. Oasis is tedious and comprehensive. Territory was supposed to be 10 minutes from home; it was not. Sometimes 45 minutes between each case with 5-6 cases for the day. Totally unmanageable for a seasoned and organized nurse. I cannot imagine how it would be for a less experienced nurse. Overworked and overwhelmed my entire time. I learned a lot from training modules but then you’re out on your own to troubleshoot. Unless you’re willing to hustle every single day and are willing to chart during dinner time and then still take time to confirm next day’s appointments, stay away.
