You learn everything NOT to do in a company. In the unfortunate circumstance you end up having worked here.

The product is outdated. Australian dev team are a couple decades behind. Product doesn't work on MACs, or with Google, and there is no future hope for a competitive solution for the market. Effective product management is nonexistent. It is extremely difficult to sell this solution or keep customers happy. Claw backs on commission are a regular and expected. The US CEO is insecure, prefers to drink and keep weak leaders around her, and has zero class. She adds no value. People stay quiet and tell her what she wants to hear, but very few if any, respect and trust the CEO or most others in exec leadership. They speak of hiring smart people that get things done, and to hire the best. In reality, they micro manage. They have no idea what culture is or how to create a great culture. They laid off lots of great people this year. Like others say on here, there is no long-term real strategy, Decisions are constantly knee-jerk and changed on a dime. Upper management do not care to listen. They seem to have an inner-circle and do not prioritize investing in their staff. The culture is so rotten that all people do all day is complain. US leadership are just told what to do by AUS leadership, that are completely out of touch with the US market.

LEAP offers very competitive salaries, strong benefits, and a level of employee support that really stands out. The HR department is kind, caring, and responsive, and leadership genuinely cares about employees both professionally and personally. It is also exciting to work for a company that continues to be a true innovator in legal tech. The product is strong, the company keeps evolving, and there is a real sense of pride in helping law firms operate more efficiently and profitably.

The standards at LEAP are very high, and that can come with pressure. This is a company that cares deeply about performance, growth, and accountability, so you do feel the expectations. Even though there is not a lot of micromanaging, there is definitely a lot of visibility and oversight. The team culture can also be a little intimidating at first because there are a lot of polished, confident, high-performing people here. But in a way, that is also part of what makes the company exciting. You are surrounded by people who are sharp, driven, and really good at what they do, which pushes you to keep growing too.
