Great colleagues, very rewarding work, excellent mindfulness-based culture.

A little disorganized, but it really doesn't matter because people aren't high maintenance about things.

I enjoyed working with a handful of my employees and the kids were great. Work-life balance is good because you only work school hours.

The only good part was a few of my coworkers and the children. Management was not responsive or respectful, and they never showed up when we needed it, and paid assistants poorly. There was also a lack of training for employees, which resulted in inconsistencies for the students educationally, emotionally, and behaviorally. There was no room for growth, advancement, or meaningful professional development. My coordinator talked poorly about staff behind their backs, was often late to meetings (even with parents), and was often on her phone. Staff were berated when taking bereavement. Students often did not receive their full-time for services (speech, OT, and PT), and they were never made up, and management did not care. Due to poor student placement by the coordinator and lack of sufficient staffing, it often felt like a daycare and that the kids were regressing. The coordinator even admitted to not fully reading IEP when accepting students in.
