Pros
The training was excellent, they put you in a place where you can establish a routine and get your bearings straight if you have never been in staffing before. Upper management always tries to keep you in the loop when it comes to how the company is doing. The regional Vice President was great and only wanted you to succeed!
Kontras
Management was all over the place with no streamline of communication. Upper management had one vision and the management in the office had another. The focus was often in the wrong place with emphasis on activity and numbers rather than placement or submitting quality candidates. The culture could have been better, with a few employees that had no filters and would rattle off saying anything they wanted with no consequence made it uncomfortable at times. With no access to updated tools or resources to either the Sales team or recruiters you saw your most tenured sales people leaving for other recruiting firms within 18 months. I saw about 8 people leave that office within the 16 months I was there for 1 reason or another. I never felt truly comfortable in job security there and would find myself stressing about whether or not I would have a job, the manager would want you there by 815 but would often come in at 9am or later. With sales managers often leaving and not many reqs to work on I found it hard to hit the metrics they were looking for and there for there was not much opportunity for commission. The compensation is mediocre given how much other companies will pay you and the commission structures they have in place. the commission structure as a whole is a joke, I get the more placements you get the more you make but it is so low in the beginning and given ho hard it is to place anyone here really not worth it. My advice would be to explore other staffing firms if you have a solid sales background first.
