Pros
There is a lot of opportunity for professional growth and development as well as opportunities to move up in the firm. In my personal experience, I have been able to work a reduced (flex) schedule and still progress in the firm. There are policies in place to allow for any individual to work a flexible or reduced schedule and they allow for flexible hours; however, there is an expectation that good client service always comes first. I feel there are shareholders and others in upper management that care about me as a person and care about my career goals. The pay is fair and competitive for this market place.
Kontras
Jones & Roth is expanding its base of staff and senior accountants, so the firm is experiencing some growing pains. J&R is continuing to developing a stronger staff training program and staff retention program. Management is open to changes; however, some things can be slow to change.
