in the past 13 months alone, management here who boast the coffee with a conscience tag line have demonstrated anything closely resembling a conscience themselves. There is constant bullying, micro-managing and invasive monitoring of a very capable staff which has lead to one case after another being heard and settled with compensation. There is no emphasis on capability being rewarded only compliance and a willingness to tell tales and hang others. Management talk a good talk but fall way short of delivering on their promises such as the "temporary wage reduction" in 2008 which has yet to be reversed. If you are ambitious and experienced, stay clear of java Republic as it will drive you crazy with the micro-management, hangman culture which supresses your abilities.
