      The best programme for teaching English abroad in Japan. Support you from training days and networking events in your home country all the way up to your first day at your assigned school. Great community. Unique exciting experience

      Salary isn’t the highest, but is comfortable for living in Japan Once you’re in Japan, your employer is the local Board of Education in your city/town, not JET Programme.

      JETs have support from CLAIR , their Board of Education, and local AJET chapters. CLAIR provides training, orientations, and even funding for teaching certifications.

      Some ALTs co-teach actively and feel valued; others get stuck reading from a script. Your school, co-workers, and Board of Education make a big difference.
