Pros
It is obvious that the leadership along with the Board of Directors care greatly about not just the well being of the institution, but about the employees. Their primary focus is on the staff, and by doing that, they create an environment where people want to see the credit union succeed. Additionally, leadership is very involved in the day-to-day, but not in a way that makes you feel micromanaged. They want to see employees develop and grow, and they do their part to promote that. Staff is empowered here like nowhere I have seen, and it makes them feel more a part of the team with that type of involvement. People are expected to work hard and do all that is expected of them, but it is a great environment if you are willing to do your part.

In credit union world, pockets aren't as deep as any of us would like. As a result, we have to be more creative with some approaches to changes that need to be made. That said, management isn't afraid to get creative to make good things happen. It would always be nice to have a blank check for everything you want to do, but at least we are doing all that is necessary to deepen our pockets year after year.
