Because is a sign that you are working more. - Leaving work on time is negatively seen. - There is a need to appear that you are working more than others so staying late, or getting home to work is the rule. - Human resources is not addressing this cultural problems but is silently impacting employees. - Competitive environment that sometimes could be toxic.
