IAS set targets that are impossible to achieve with a comp plan that ensures the company pays the least amount possible. On a target which is unachievable, if your attainment is under 90% there are aggressive decelerators. If you hit 75% or less payout is zero. On top of that the calculations are always wrong, every quarter and company refuses to show how they got to the numbers. CEO was asked about this and transparency, answer was "you have access to the data" or figure it out yourself.Trouble is, depending on what data source you use, you get a different answer. Many of my colleagues are spending hours per day sifting thru broken internal tools to figure out their quarterly payout instead of doing their jobs, selling.
