Consultants are continually staffed on efforts without requisite skills, thanks to turnover of skilled consultants. Leadership focused on growth not customer service or quality of work product. Widely known the business will be sold. Friends, family, and favorites land roles they didn’t earn and are not qualified for while the most talented employees get frustrated and leave. Over-hiring results in benched consultants frequently. Consultants will develop more, be recognized for achievements more, and get paid more elsewhere and they know it.
