Inova you have to do better!
It is so frustrating having to work in healthcare right now and this health system does not make it easier. This job is a call center position so pretty much you’re a frontline worker. This position handles billing, making sure things are moving from a revenue level. Is that not major?
Why are patients allowed to call in and call us stupid, incompetent, b***h, curse at us endlessly, yell at us when we’re just doing our jobs? But more so why does management not care when it comes to their attention. Why is the answer we have to ignore it, don’t take it personal, because they are patients.
I know we all have watched the empathy video, but what is forgotten is the empathy for the employees in that same video! It’s not fair, it’s not fair for anyone to be verbally & emotionally abused daily on top of everything they are dealing with outside of Inova. The call center is nonstop and so is the abuse.
It is a shame that I felt so proud working for Inova to now feeling like I could never recommend it to anyone.
Not to mention the pay is ridiculously low! At least have the pay match the work but that would be too generous for such a wealthy health system, you have to remain #1 somehow.
