Pros

Company was great for work/life balance Company paid reimbursement for traveling to patient homes or meetings off site. Flexible schedule depending on the clinic. Management was pretty open door about anything. Great coworkers. Allowed workers to present to entire group on topics of concern. Pay was average, could be better but wasn’t terrible.

Kontras

HonorHealth Benefits are horrible. Reimbursement for mileage but not for wear and tear, put in over 60,000 miles in less than 2 years on personal vehicles and nothing for compensation for that. Hospital makes all the rules you must follow. Won’t know which clinic you’ll work at until 6 weeks into the job spent shadowing. Even then clinics change frequently so if your clinic closes you’ll be expected to work out of corporate in Scottsdale until they find you another clinic, which may be farther than your original or across the valley and no reimbursement for traveling to work. Attempted to become a supervisor but was declined when openings became available, when asking why they stated I was too new, however, someone I trained got the position directly above me so clearly I wasn’t going to get a straight answer. Besides 3 new supervisors no openings in almost 2 years and only Manager in the company was fired or let go. Frequent staff turnover. May get bed bugs or sick from visiting patients, all at your own expense.

Pros

It was an opportunity to get away from traditional bedside nursing.

Kontras

TCMs have to work weekends. Everyone else got to choose the weekend they worked. I had to wait and find out which days still needed coverage. When I covered at the locations that did discharge planning, I would often have work dumped on me that could and should have been taken care of during the week. My coworker at my regular location had significant problems during orientation, so they just moved her to my location instead of addressing the issues with her performance. She had trouble doing her work and would leave initial assessments which are more time consuming for me to do.
