Pros

Nothing is pros here in Infosys.

Kontras

I joined Infosys with two years of prior experience, but ever since joining, the experience has been extremely challenging. Although the company policy officially mandates 10 days of work from the office (WFO) per month, in reality, many managers disregard this and insist on employees coming to the office all five days a week. When employees apply for work-from-home (WFH) as per policy, managers often cancel the requests without valid reasons. As a result, the attendance status remains unclear, leading to salary deductions, forced leave debits, or loss of pay (LOP). Furthermore, the concept of employee consent is often overlooked. Managers frequently assign employees to projects without prior discussion, reject WFH requests despite policy allowances, and in some cases, even apply leaves on behalf of employees without informing them. These practices have caused situations where employees do not receive their salaries for months due to incorrect leave and attendance handling. Overall, there is a significant gap between company policies and managerial practices, making it extremely difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Kontras

Salary growth can be slow – Compensation increments may be lower compared to market standards. Limited flexibility in role changes – Internal mobility and project switches can take time. Bureaucratic processes – Decision-making can be slow due to multiple approval layers. Project allocation delays – Bench time and delayed onboarding to projects can happen. Variable learning exposure – Skill growth depends heavily on the project assigned. Less innovation in some teams – Certain projects may use legacy technologies. Onsite opportunities are limited – Compared to earlier years, onsite roles are fewer. Performance appraisal transparency – Rating systems may feel rigid or unclear.
