Pros
1. Despite Infor acquisition, the Engineering team still operates in a tight-knit startup culture (until people who carry that culture will eventually leave). 2. Pay is quite good for Ahmedabad location, they are still among the top 5 paying companies in Ahmedabad. 3. Freedom to operate, flexible work timings including occasional working from home and good employee engagement activities. 4. Dedicated and smart people (although many have started leaving gradually since acquisition). 5. Great developer resources - every engineer gets a Macbook and a second bigger monitor for office (with mouse and keyboard). But I've seen this culture gradually going away post acquisition and now they're stingy with resources.
Kontras
1. Pathetic infrastructure - the office is not so great, parking woes, and developer's resources are not good compared to new age startups in Ahmedabad. Very poor office snacks and the location is such that it does not have good eating options nearby. 2. Slightly older on the technology front - the software is facing aegism, and unless invested to improve it, the technology stack will no longer be attractive outside. 3. No real investment made into DevOps philosophy, thus infrastructure changes are a nightmare to deliver. This creates instability in Production and increases customer churn rate. Good news is, recently the management has woken up and started investing into this. 4. No continuous deployment to Production without manual intervention by the Operations team. 5. Communication gaps - the team is not setup for good communication. For remote teams to work, there should be a concept of asynchronous communication. Decisions need to be communicated to all stakeholders.
