Pros
Good vacation per years of service Not excessive travel
Kontras
New management team joined in Dec 2010 and it has gone downhill rapidly for staff. Blanket decisions are made by management without full information and create completely unrealistic expectations. Workload has increased to 5x to 10x versus previous org. Absolutely no employee incentives or increases in 3-4 years yet they have added dozens of VP and higher positions. Not only do they not review or provide increases, they don't even pretend to care about employees. Management spends update calls congratulating each other for improved profitability, which results from reduced head count and eliminating critical budgets while expecting staff to work round the clock especially if located in Europe or Asia. New management mostly come from the same former company and try to apply all the same programs and models regardless of the different structure, resources or staffing. Senior management calls tactical level initiatives and mid-level managers cannot respond in any way to propose realistic measures (timing, budget, resources) needed to be effective as they fear for their jobs. The only concern is product and development and they have no understanding of other disciplines particularly marketing. Within 15 months they have decimated the employees and people are fleeing after 10 or 15 yrs of service. They can hardly replace them because the pay is so low and they won't bring it to market value. The only people staying are those that are afraid to change or haven't found the right position.
