Pros
- Never a boring day, as you're working across multiple events, no two days will ever be the same - Extensive training - at my last job I wasn't really given any support so I really valued this, and the training/learning doesn't stop after a few months. We are constantly being trained on the latest new technologies, practices, etc. to ensure we're as efficient and effective as possible - Lots of opportunity for growth through marketing mentoring programmes, a women in business event (which also has a separate mentoring programme), and check-ins with your manager so that you can discuss what your goals are, and how they can help you achieve them, e.g. get a promotion, or create an entirely new role you think the company is missing out on - The chance to go abroad to help deliver on-site events - I just recently came back from an event in Amsterdam and it was really rewarding seeing all the hard work pay off -Genuinely just a nice place to work - I've been at IQPC for a year now and everyone is really nice, welcoming, and working together towards the same goals so collaboration across the company is really high -Bonus schemes and commission schemes so you can make more on top of your basic salary. -Company drinks at the end of every month where the MD will do a short speech on how the business is doing, and shout out any individuals who stood out for the month which is really nice in terms of feeling appreciated and not just another cog in the machine - you are recognised and appreciated for your work -Company plans, e.g. with MediCash an app that lets you claim money back on certain things like Dentist Appointments, Dental Injury, Prescriptions, etc.
Kontras
- Very fast paced type of job - there is always something to be done, and constant deadlines to meet so it can be stressful depending on the type of person you are (although your manager is always there to listen and help you out if you feel it's getting overwhelming) - You can potentially make more money in other companies
