Pros

You get some menial task work, work for interesting clients. Really small office. Sometimes they let you go to cool places and take pictures for them.

Kontras

I was not treated well. Environment was toxic and had almost no interaction with upper level management- they treated me like I didn't exist. Was often not in the loop of things and was never told what expectations they would have for me, so often I was left in the dark. Basically interns just help their actual employees do the work they don't have time to do.

Thank you for this guidance. We will try to do a better job at setting measurable goals for our interns. It is sad that you did not get much out of your time with us. Being an intern at INK & ROSES is an opportunity to do hands-on work, especially with our employees. Based on the team structures, our interns always work most closely with our junior staff. This is by design as our hope is for our interns to hone in on the skills they’ll likely need for their first full-time positions after graduation. The best way to do that, and really get an idea of what the job entails, is by directly supporting our ACs and AAEs. This is also why many of our interns become full time employees. They are the ones who did great work during their internship.

Pros

Team members at a certain level were supportive and hardworking, and there was some exposure to different areas of the business.

Kontras

Leadership lacks clear direction and strategic understanding. Employees are underpaid relative to workload and expectations. There is a pattern of taking advantage of team members’ time and effort, with little recognition or growth opportunity. If you push back or advocate for reasonable boundaries, it is not well received and can impact job security. Processes are disorganized, priorities constantly shift, and decision-making is inconsistent. For anyone coming from a more established or reputable organization, the lack of structure and expertise is very apparent.
