Pros

Flexible hours, decent pay.

Kontras

It's a billable model corporation. Employees have a billable goal (quota) in the department I'm in. The worklife/balance ...... deadlines are the priority. They will ask if you can work major holidays; Xmas Eve, Thanksgiving if necessary to get a deliverable out the door. OT is expected. You might have flexible hours, but there's a price to pay for that flexibility, because you will be working a lot of OT when the workload picks up. It's not a 9 to 5 job. But when workload dies down, then you are stressed because you have no work and your billable goal or quota suffers, and they do not like that. I've seen a lot of staff over the years get laid off because their workload died down, even though workload was out of their control. The culture/env in the office I am at is almost a negative. Employees are too busy working on deadlines to even have time to visit/chat with coworkers. Putting Admin time on your timesheet is frowned upon. They goal is to bill every hour of the day to the client.

Pros

People, Mission, Culture, Technology, Remote. You work on projects and technologies that actually impact and improves the day to day lives of people around you, the community and the Country

Kontras

Pay, No much room for upward mobility. If you are a high performer, you'll struggle as the structure rewards years spent in the company vs level of expertise or experience.
