Good work-life balance. Employees are generally agreeable and fun to work with.

Inexperienced Leadership: Average age of senior leadership is in the low 30s. The top three people in the company have no experience working outside of HomeWorks. Employees are vocal and honest with senior leadership and HR about the company’s problems but, due to favoritism, no action is taken. Problems are largely centered around a single amoral and disrespectful individual who has secretly recorded one-on-one meetings, tried to claw back compensation retroactively, and makes disrespectful comments about women in the office. Do not see value in retaining existing employees: Management knows that PTO, pay, and benefits are not competitive. They are losing employees and are not able to recruit new talent because of this but refuse to take action because they deem it too expensive. They do not realize the financial and cultural costs of low retention. They should be focused on improving retention instead of growing the bottom line by expanding to new markets at all costs. They would rather throw money at replacing somebody with an alternative who will accept less pay than appreciate or develop existing employees. Most of management is professional and in-tune with employee’s needs but the most senior members of management refuse to act. The company is hemorrhaging talent and nobody with the capability to stop the bleeding is taking action.

As a young company we are focused on creating a fun and challenging work environment where employees are helping to fight climate change. We have competitive compensation and benefits, and are working to create an environment where all employees can advance, within a structure that rewards hard work and engagement. I'm also happy to say that we have regularly increased our benefits year-over-year, and will continue to do so as we grow. For example, over the past few months we have rolled out our first 401(k) matching plan. Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve our compensation and benefits packages. It's the team's hard work that has gotten us here and will continue to move us forward toward achieving our collective goals. Regarding accusations of inappropriate actions, we take feedback very seriously. We are dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable work environment where every employee feels heard and is comfortable expressing their opinion. Our Human Resources team will always fully investigate any potential issues that are raised. Thank you for your patience and please stick with us. We have a young management team and are trying to get it right. I encourage every employee to please come directly to our Director of HR, COO, or myself with any feedback regarding inappropriate or questionable actions, and how we can better support everyone to have a positive work experience.

none at all that I can think of. maybe that it’s remote?

SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED, poor pay, NO WORK LIFE BALANCE, JUST RUN DON’T EVEN APPLY. i give this company at least another year, they will not last with the way they’re running things. terrible company and practices, constantly lying to customers. each department has its own set of issues especially the service department is SEVERELY lacking.
