Pros
Quite simple, attended two Zoom meetings (1 hour each) and meet up with my mentor. There are challenges to earn money/gain money back if you have a knack for photo editing.
Kontras
Would not do during the fall semester if you’re a freshman doing this program, as I missed a lot of organization programming events because of these meetings. The best time for this would be the summer, but my guess is that the summer cohort would be the most competitive. Not much leeway was given for participants if they had lost money during the program, which some people voiced frustrations about (and an appeal system was not implemented until later). You also have to *find* a mentor/mentee, which can be challenging if you don’t have a shared social media/community space where you can access students.
