No progression, average pay and no staff rewards. Worked to the bone and not even a 'thank you' unless you beg for it. - Various Roles bei Hawk Training: Mitarbeiterbewertung

Pros

The teams are great to work with but as more people leave, it's getting thin on the ground of experienced members of staff. Within the sector it's a well known 'brand' for having a positive image but all is not as it seems.

Kontras

Careful of the glass ceiling, they'll raise your hopes when you start but after pulling the illusionary rug from beneath you, they'll kick you the whole way down. The minute you say anything that is different to a very archaic opinion you are public enemy number one. If you're not personally liked, you're pretty much a time bomb - I didn't have this problem but having been there for years, I saw it far too often. Extremely high turnover and on the surface, they have a great 'image' to the outside world but the wiring is well and truly exposed internally and things are a mess. They're very opinionated, almost always making reactive decisions that create a patchwork effect for problems rather than looking at the source of the problem and tackling issues that way. They speak about promotion and training heavily but they'll use you as a cash cow for government funding and will progress you into roles (as 'promotion') to suit the business, even if it's the complete opposite of your own career aspirations. Very little reward, appreciation or motivation to want to work there at all. Target driven with no reward. Constant stress and unhappiness for staff with very little support and the family structure means unless you're willing to suck up to them and say exactly what they want to hear, work at weekends with no time back and tread on your exceptionally hard-working colleagues to benefit yourself by being thought of as a higher rank within the Hawk family, you'll never get anywhere. Would not recommend working here at all.

As a company we work hard at what we do and with a vision of 'achieving excellence' we always strive to be the best we can - that said, we want a healthy work-life balance and will support any employee who may be struggling with this. Employees can and do speak to HR in confidence if they are not happy with any aspect of their working life. Our salaries and benefits are good and way above our competitors offering benefits such as company cars, bonuses, company pensions scheme, mobile, laptop, flexible working. We love providing opportunities for our people to develop and grow - you cant achieve an Investors in People Gold if you don't do this - they hear directly from our staff! Progression opportunities are open to everyone with all positions being internally advertised. I would encourage any employee to speak to their manager or indeed to HR in confidence if they aren't happy in what they are doing. We care about our people and want them to enjoy their work and experience of working for Hawk.

Pros

Lovely office space, great office staff, decent location. If you’re looking for stability it’s a very easy place to settle into

Kontras

Fast-paced environment with evolving priorities, which can make long-term planning challenging. Roles can grow quickly as the business scales, sometimes without immediate updates to structure or resourcing. This suits people who enjoy ambiguity, but may feel demanding for those who prefer clearly defined frameworks.
