Pros
Harris Teeter was a decent place to work. They pay lower than most places as Cashier and you are basically expected to do your utmost in terms of customer service, I mean that's what Harris Teeter is known for. You are suppose to ask "paper or plastic bags for you today" and required to say "can I help you out with your groceries "today" even if the customer is a single, athletic male buying only a single item.

However, HT never recognizes you for the hard work you do and that's the main problem. You can work very hard for one month taking customers when you are suppose to be a bagger,doing duties twice as fast and just doing work very fast and devotedly, but in the end you'll be recgonized maybe even less than the cashier you always leaves their register to talk to their friend or to their other employees in different departments.
