Pros

The company has great benefits and one of the best retirement funds through their company sponsored profit sharing trust. The employees do not contribute any money into their retirement, the company provides a % of earnings for each employee.

Kontras

The company's loyalty has shifted from being a company that cared about their people to a company that cares more about their profits. They have been cutting jobs, shifting roles to Panama and other overseas entities and expecting more from less head count as well as expecting high profits. There is no more company loyalty from the company or its people. Very sad because Grainger use to be a company people would begin and end their careers with 35+ years; now, most people leave within 5.

Grainger is committed to making sure everyone has the same opportunities to learn, grow, and advance. The company provides the tools, training, and support needed to build a successful career. The opportunities are there for everyone—you just need to ask questions, take initiative, and seek them out. Managers and teammates are supportive, and the overall culture encourages continuous learning and personal growth. In addition to the excellent training, Grainger offers a positive work environment, strong benefits, and a culture built on teamwork, safety, and customer service.

Kontras

As with any large organization, some processes can take time due to multiple levels of approval. Workloads can also be demanding during busy periods, but the support from coworkers and leadership helps make those times manageable.
