Pros

Time passes quickly on the job and you get employee discount.

Kontras

However they are really greedy with pricing. They make alot of money from donated free goods. Making us pack racks and shelves full of stuff to meet daily quota even if the product is in horrible shape and needs to go to the outlet. Management doesnt care if you have a doctors note for a serious illness, they wont care to keep you around unless its injury at work then they HAVE to excuse you. My efforts seem to go unnoticed no matter how well i preform howeverthe male staff gets bumped up. 2 of their male management stole stuff from the back frequently yet they have loss prevention guys be suspicious of the workers instead. Monitoring the workers not the higher ups instead. Hiring people with no experience and not training them properly. I had to do double the work because one person was too slow and just didint have a clue whats good, what goes online, whats outlet. If something was vintage it was dumped for looking "old". I had to pick up slack so our numbers looked good.

Pros

Work fulfilling both physically and socially, dealing with donors and fellow employees for this retiree and former legal and business professional.

Kontras

Creepy, clannish, petty, and cultish management is more interested in humiliating others under the guise of "following rules" many of their own making than in ensuring that the work facility is properly equipped to handle daily workflow. Communication nonexistent. Managers pop in and out, apparently stationed at some secret location.  Robotic replies to legitimate work questions when they weren't out-and-out nasty.  I've occasionally dealt with this sort of folks, but never an entire collection of them cheering each other on as might appear in some deleted scene from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." Poisonous and bizarre. Recommended only for the Abnormal Psychology student.
