Pros
- Fast-paced environment with exposure to some business execution.
- Opportunity to work on challenging problems and move quickly.
Kontras
Significant micromanagement and limited autonomy in day-to-day work.
Culture felt more competitive than collaborative.
Leadership and decision-making appeared highly top-down, with limited room for disagreement or alternate perspectives.
Management layers often felt focused on alignment upward rather than supporting teams.
Work environment felt transactional rather than warm or people-oriented.
Office experience felt very basic with limited employee amenities or community-building spaces.
High-pressure atmosphere that, in my experience, created unnecessary stress and anxiety.
Overall, this was not the right environment for me. My exit happened as part of a layoff/separation process, and unexpectedly, I felt more relieved than disappointed. It made me realize how mentally exhausting I had found the work environment over time. While experiences will differ from person to person, I personally would not choose to return to a culture that felt this heavily managed, and lacking in trust and autonomy.
