Pros

The research is typically flexible, the school has a great deal of resources and talented and varied faculty members that teach courses not otherwise offered at smaller universities.

Kontras

It's easy to get lost in the mix with so many people, make connections ect... Georgia Tech does NOT have an "incubation" year for Ph.D. students ,YOU MUST COME IN WITH OUR OWN FUNDING, so make sure you talk to professors and confirm this before you commit to Georgia Tech.

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Kontras

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
