Pros
If you have no ambition or want no expectations, this is the place to be. As a floor supervisor all you really have to do is show up. It won't matter if your departments are failing, no one will care as long as you make it to work everyday. If you work hard and perform, that won't matter either. The expectation level is so low they wouldn't know what to do if you do perform well. Just show up, collect the check and turn a blind eye to the chaos around you. If you can do that you'll have a job for life, or until this place collapses under its own weight.
Kontras
If you have any ambition or expectations for who you work with and for, this place will infuriate you. Performing well does not gain you anything. In fact it will usually harm you when you butt heads with the good ol'boys who are just coasting. I guess the thought would be that if everyone's performance is mediocre, then it cant be them. Never plan on moving up from where you are unless you are in with the club. Make sure you go to the bar with the boys after work or play tennis with the boss and they put you anywhere whether your right for the job or not. Never had a second of production control experience? Now your the manager... Of course pay is fairly subjective here. With as little expectation as they have for you I would say its not bad for someone who just shows up to work and coasts. If you actually perform and and have expectations for yourself and the people who work for you you'll learn fairly quick its a thankless job. What you worked multiple shifts and brought numerous departments out of the ashes? Heres your 2.5% and the comforting statement that its substantial compared others.
