In the brief time I've been at Focus Camera, management has demonstrated good employee recognition. First by hosting an appreciation BBQ on the premises. Fresh-grilled foods, salads, water, soda, and even beer were offered and some items actually served by the owner. At the conclusion, everyone was given the rest of the day off with full pay, an extremely generous gesture. The other instance was an important PowerPoint training session where the attendees were given an incentive to pay attention & ask questions. To ensure everyone comprehended the content, the owner offered $50. gift cards to the 1st 5 people who submitted clear notes on the training. I took a chance, typed & submitted my notes, and was pleasantly surprised to be one of the recipients of the gift cards. These two gestures have shown how management values the employees.

End of day time should be more flexible, 5:00-5:30 should be the 1st option, not 6:00 pm as the standard.
