Pros

I've worked at FFS for just over a year, and I've been promoted and am in a position of responsibility. I've never been told NOT to do something. Rather, I've been given the freedom to pursue initiatives and been recognized for the success, and forgiven for the failures. Simply put, the company wants great developers and designers, and if we accept the challenges, the company will support and reward you for your efforts. There have been developers here that have had to learn 6+ new languages in the last year or so. Show any initiative, and you will be given the chance to learn and grow. I've learned more in that last year than I had in my last three jobs. Unlike a big corporate environment, this is about personal performance. You're not a number. This means that raises, bonuses, stock awards reflect your performance and actually mean something. Projects are scheduled to avoid crazy over-time. I've only had to work OT for a few weeks in the last year+. The people, from the top-down, are awesome to work with. Super talented, smart people. No drama, No politics. Basically, it's been the best job I've every had.

Kontras

Reading a few negative reviews makes me think that FFS might not be a good fit if you're the "follow a task list" sort of person. It's more of a, "No task list? I'd better write one up!" kind of place.
