Pros

-The per diem is slightly higher than other companies -Training is great as you will be sent to GE's renewable energy learning center in New York and receive GE certifications. -If you are lucky enough to stay busy with work, you get r&r every 6 weeks and can fly anywhere in the continental u.s. or have someone flown to your location instead. -Lots of traveling, again only if you are lucky enough to have work.

Kontras

-Hourly pay is lower than even little off brand companies and substantially lower than our GE counterparts even though we receive the exact same training. -Annual raises (if you get one) range from 2% to 5% across the board, regardless of job performance. -You will get a new manager at least once a year who doesn't know where you are, what your qualifications are, what certifications you have, or really anything about you. Don't expect to hear from them except for when you are being sent to/from sites. -Turnover rate is huge -Not very many techs land long term jobs and bounce around site to site for anywhere from a few days to a few weeks then back home. -Spending months at home "on the bench" isn't uncommon. -You may have to share a vehicle.
