Managers tend to micromanage and don't put trust in their employees. When people leave the company because of the managers, the managers will be out for themselves and try to downplay the reasons why. There is a lot of petty high school like drama, with people talking behind everyone's backs. Everyone gossips and knows everything about anything. It is a very old school company that is trying to change. But there has been too much change to keep up with. There has been a diversity movement in the company just for show, not much has come out of it.
